Alternative Migrant Trail 2022: All Web Content

For the 19th year, a diverse community of friends and allies came together for the Migrant Trail, a journey that is intended to raise awareness about the deaths of migrants on the Arizona-Sonora border. Once again and in an abundance of caution for our community safety, the Migrant Trail was held virtually again. Instead, the event was held virtually as a one-day Border Encuentro (gathering), bringing together a rich collection of voices.

The recorded session is embedded below. We invite you to learn more about (im)migration in border communities, and the ways in which we are called to bear witness. The Alternative Migrant Trail 2022 was also a fundraiser, with all proceeds going to border organizations whose work was highlighted during the week. In all, we raised approximately $9,200 which was $2,300 to each organization. In that spirit, if you use any of the curated materials or videos here, we strongly recommend you consider making a donation to the organizations whose labor they represent.

*Due to technical difficulties/glitches, not all of the panels were recorded. We apologize for this, as our intention was to record the entire day.
